Step 4 – Make Accessible

In that last few months, as of writing this post, WordPress has made the default privacy settings of new blogs to shut off the search engines from your blog. So what does this do? It insures that your blog will never be found in a search, nor can Google AdSense even match ads to your content! Not too good is it?!

The fix is easy. And make sure to do this before you do anything else! Simply log into your blog and go to your Dashboard. Then select Settings, and then Privacy as shown below. Choose the option “I would like my blog to be visible .. . ” as shown below.
